Pergolakan Lagi

Assalamualaikum.

In Egypt, we have to expect the unexpected. And we must understand there's this one inevitable reality in here; all abnormal things are normal in Egypt. Only in Egypt yeaahh....

What is the unexpected thing you must expect in Egypt?

You were just about to sleep when suddenly you woke up hearing bomb explosion, and you felt like your vestibular nucleus (in your ear) exploded along. Dan berdengung. You were panicking and you just sat quiet for a while on your matress, and did a lil bit of thinking...

"Apa itu? Guruh ke? Don't tell me its gonna be raining heavily after the real freezing weather last week?"

But to to tell it was guruh, it was not, because it was not. Guruh had never caused the balcony door and window vibrate so loud and your house moving. Okay, it wasn't moving but it felt like it was.

Then you started to think...

Was it really a bomb?

You tried hard to deny it. Eventually you ran out of your room to your housemate, next door.

She heard the same explosion sound.

At the moment like that, keep calm, don't cry and just take your tablet or iPad, look at what Facebook have.

Yeahh... it's true!

(Okay, let's change the 'you' to 'I')

My friends also heard the same explosion.

I tried to get back to sleep as I got class early the next morning. I tried hard to let myself into a deep sleep despite the sound of ambulance, tak putus-putus dari pukul 1 pagi sampai tengahari tu.

Doakan keselamatan.

Btw, I think this winter gonna be most relaxing winter, maybe kena duduk rumah saja.

Gagal Bersangka Baik

Assalamualaikum.

Heyp. Yesterday I went to Cairo. Post exam travel.

We were really late that we had to perform maghrib and isyak prayer at Hayy Sabi' (macam Seksyen 7 la kalau bahasa melayu). We were supposed to perform our prayer before heading back to Mansoura at Ramses, but still at that time we were at Hayy Sabi'.

So kitorang pergi masjid dekat dengan tempat makan Thailand tu. It was still maghrib, so we perform solat jamak ta'dim la kan.

As we entered the prayer room for muslimat, we saw egyptian aunties having their discussion (usrah) at the back of the space. There was a leader mak cik, leading the discussion. Wasn't sure to call that a discussion or not because other mak ciks were only listening and nodded their head all the time.

So we went on with our objective: sembahyang maghrib dan isyak jamak qasar.

So kami pun solat la...

Only before we were leaving, the bilal laungkan azan Isyak.

As we were packing our things and those makciks prepare for solat Isyak, the leader mak cik approached us. She asked one of us:

Mak Cik: Why don't you join the jamaah for Isyak prayer? [of course dalam bhs Arab]
Friend: Oh, we perform solat jamak. We are travellers.
Mak Cik : (tak puas hati lagi) Why don't you join the jamaah?? Are you shiaa? (dgn senyum sinisnya)
Us (all) : ???

Despite the cold weather in Cairo, all of us felt the 'heat'.

And I, concluded that, the mak cik may forget the need of husnus zhon (bersangka baik) towards other Muslims, regardless our nationality (told ya Muslims' bond should be by our aqidah not nationality) and race. Amaaakk...

Kegagalan untuk bersangka baik sesama kita is one of the risk factor yang membunuh hubungan baik sesama Muslim. Lelaki atau perempuan. It is not inevitable. We can make change. We can make our relationship better by husnus zhon.

we need to stop this cycle.

Amat sorry diucapkan. Now I know why, my abah doesn't really fond of making friends with those masjid people nowadays. It is because of this.

Am not spilling my anger here in my blog, that is not the case.
